Dancing With Mike

Hi All,

Happy 2011! Time sure goes by when you're having fun! I hope you're all looking as forward to this year as I am.

Jill and I just returned from calling with Ken Bower, Gary Shoemake, and Marshall Flippo in Laughlin, Nevada at the Holiday Hop. It was great fun calling with Ken, Gary, and Flip and also sharing the program with Gene and Linda Krueger on the rounds. It was great seeing so many friends that have we've called and danced with over the years. I'll have some information in the future about the 2012 Holiday Hop. I may even be able to get my hands on some photos and a video that I saw before I left of Montana caller, Hunter Keller and me doing the "Casey At The Bat" skit. I'm sure glad it was Hunter in the back of the sweat shirt. Whew!

Hi All,

This is July 2010 and I just returned from calling the 30th Anniversary of the Shizuoka Friend Circle Square Dance Club in Japan with Dee Dee Dougherty-Lottie.

Dee Dee and I shared the program with several callers from Japan and over 70 callers and cuers from Japan attended the event. There were about 700 dancers on Saturday and almost that many on Sunday. We called for just the club members on Friday and it was a joy to dance with and call to all those who worked so hard to put it all on.

Dee Dee and I want to thank Mrs. Yasue Natsuka and all the members of the Shizuoka Friend Circle Club for inviting us to call and for taking such good of us while we were in Japan. We really enjoyed calling with Natsuka-san too. We would also like to thank Tac Czaki for his help with all the arrangements and for keeping us on track while we were there.

I'm looking forward to returning to Japan next March to call in Misawa.
